George Harrison – Somewhere In England – de 1981 é o 9º disco da carreira solo do ex-beatle. O disco mostra o amadurecimento de Harrison como músico e produtor. O álbum teve co-produção de Ray Cooper. Somewhere in England traz uma variedade bem maior de estilos, inclusive country (That which I Have Lost), mas com prevalência do pop-rock à lá Beatles.
O misticismo de George também está mais explícito, como mostra a belíssima Live Itself ("Eles o chamam Cristo, Visnu, Buda, Jeová, Nosso Senhor / Você é Govindam, Bismillah, o Criador de Tudo / Você é o Único"). Deus também é citado na faixa All Those Years Ago – carro-chefe do álbum - composta para John Lennon, assassinado um ano antes. All Those Years Ago traz a participação de Paul, Linda, Denny Laine e Ringo Starr (a música traz até o conhecido verso beatle "All you need is love"). Esta última também aparece em uma versão demo, que é o bônus do disco. Apesar da crítica torcer mais uma vez o nariz para George, o disco foi um sucesso de vendas na Inglaterra e nos States.
